Arrival & 2nd Day

CIAO ROMA!!!!!!!!!!!

Arrival:
So I blame it on my excitement, but I "thought" I forgot my phone and passport at least 3 times somewhere only to realize when I went back to try to find it that I had it all along in my pocket. Flight was delayed an hour and half because of engine maintenance problems, but we got to Rome safely. We tried to catch a shuttle and Roman rushed and got it just as the doors closed and we couldn't get in. His face was soooo funny when he turned around and realized we weren't on the train with him.

Got our keys, we have one of the really large antique looking keys.... LOVE IT!!!!!! <3
our apartment is sooooooo lovely. high ceilings, lots of rooms, sunlight, cool storage.... and our living/dining room is a dear! Finding the apartment was difficult at first, we decided to take the tram over and we didn't know where we were supposed to pay and get on, but we figured it out by the help of a cute old man who told us in italian what to do and how to get to out stops. All in Italian didn't know most of it, but Christine and I got most of it. But we've got the route back to the UWRC down so good now. Planning on exploring this side of the Tiber river more.

2nd day:
We had our apt meeting and found that we have WIFI!!!!!!!!!! yes, this post right now is courtesy of said wifi. started grocery shopping and food shopping in general, and I think I've started a food addiction, at least in Rome. Lisa also took us on a tour of the Piazza de Fiori. Wonderful place.... definitely going to go around more.

That's it for now. We have the day free tomorrow, so adventures await! <3
